Writing Web Sites with the Right Key Words
There are tons of services, websites and software packages available that will help you select and analyze the myriad of available key word choices you may wish to target.
SEO is a science, some may even call it an art, but it is still a technical process in which data is analyzed.
The question you need to ask yourself is this:
What is the pain my target prospect is suffering? What value do I offer? What unique quality do we have that a customer might find of interest? How can we stand out from the customer.
I attended a meeting not long ago in which the speaker talked about niche marketing. We are so focused on spreading the word about our business to the world that we forget, the world in general just doesn’t care.
We writing websites people read – we must first uncover:
- Who is our target customer?
- What specific need do they have that we can fill?
- How do we fill that need differently from the competition?
Once we have a clear picture of our unique prospect, we can begin writing websites that attract the specific customer we desire.
Having the right key words isn’t enough. We must first define who the right customer is!
